Escaneno is a stallion with truly exceptional riding horse qualities. The stallion, bred by Schult and co-owned by Klosterhof Medingen and Tobias Schult, made this abundantly clear in his sport tests in Münster-Handorf, without a doubt. In 2022, the now five-year-old stallion completed his short aptitude test with a weighted final score of 9.03. He received individual scores of 9.0 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8.3 for walk, 9.8 for rideability, and 9.5 for willingness to perform. Last year, Escaneno completed his sport test as the top scorer with a 9.5 for rideability and a weighted final score of 9.09. In February 2024, Escaneno set the benchmark for the third consecutive time at the Westphalian Horse Center with a final score of 8.97 (trot 8.60, canter 8.50, walk 9.00, rideability 9.50, overall impression 9.00). Both his sire ESCAMILLO and damsire VENENO began their victory march as athletes and breeders at the stallion station in Hünxe. And now, a new chapter of success is being written with ESCANENO. His grandmother, St.Pr.St. REINE FREUDE by Ravallo x Frühlingstraum, is already a true guarantor of success for breeding. At the Herwart von der Decken Show 2021, three of her daughters were awarded as the best mare family – a title awarded only every four years – and one of these three mares is VAIANA, the mother of ESCANENO! The most outstanding son of REINE FREUDE is FIDERTANZ, the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2021. In ESCANENO, so much is combined that is of special significance to us, but surely also to the entire horse breeding world. The value of his dam line is also evident in the fact that it has produced successful Grand Prix horses – in both dressage and show jumping. It is all the more gratifying that the 1st foal crop of ESCANENO has caused a stir with numerous auction foals at many auction venues. “Top Extra Bunt”, a piebald filly by Escaneno – Zoom, bred by Josef Volle from Lüdinghausen, caused excitement in every respect at the Westphalian Week 2023 dressage foal auction – not least through her knockdown price of 55,000 Euros.
